Job Description
Position Title: Intern Social Media ManagerOrganization: Little Rock Rangers (USL League Two / WPSL)Location: Little Rock, ARCompensation: Unpaid Internship (College Credit Available)Position DescriptionAs the Social Media Manager Intern for the Little Rock Rangers, you will play a key role in shaping and sharing the voice of the club across all digital platforms.
about soccer, storytelling, and digital engagement. The intern will assist in creating and executing social media strategies that grow the club’s presence, enhance fan connection, and support community engagement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities• Develop and publish engaging content across the club’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, X,TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn).• Capture and produce behind-the-scenes content during training sessions, matchdays, and community events.• Monitor fan engagement and interact with followers in a professional and authentic manner.• Collaborate with coaching and operations staff to promote key moments, match results, player highlights,and announcements.• Assist with live matchday coverage and post-game content (photos, videos, score updates, interviews, etc.).• Stay current on social media trends, soccer culture, and platform best practices to keep the Rangers’ contentfresh and relevant.• Analyze engagement metrics and provide basic reports to assess performance and inform future contentdecisions.
Qualifications• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, SportManagement, or a related field.
skills.• Passion for soccer and an understanding of the sport’s community and culture.• Ability to attend home matchdays (evenings/weekends, 6-8 per season) and occasional team/communityevents.• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-pacedenvironment.
Learning Opportunities• Gain hands-on experience managing digital communications for a semi-professional soccer organization.• Build a professional portfolio of social media content, campaigns, and matchday coverage.• Learn how to translate team and community initiatives into effective digital storytelling.• Work directly with the club’s technical, media, and operations staff in a professional sports setting.
